Thank you Dianne and Mom for your helpful replies. Perhaps the 101 deal is what I have to do. As a (re!) start I have started leaving him his crate or tying him to my waist with a long leash so I always know where he is when I am busy.
I am sure dogs cannot enjoy being wet and perhaps the recent BB incident in the house was just a fluke. Hope so, but I will assume he needs a recap of potty training anyway. Certainly though, when my hub took him out with the BB on by mistake, the dog really needed to pee and had no option.
I take him out for 3 long walks/day and out to pee at least every 2 hrs or so, and he sure gets plenty of exercise. The trouble is our 'open plan' home does not have a tiled area I can fence in, and even if I did he would jump over it. LOL!
