I thought that she was going to tell him that one of the other girls attacked her, but she didn't, maybe she had a moment of sanity!
I've just never heard of anyone waking up with a black eye, I don't think they appear out of no where, circles, bags, puffiness, yes can come up overnight, but a black eye, I think, needs some sort of trauma. Anyway, she really didn't tell him anything specifically that I can remember, but he did act very concerned.
