Rockster's Mom, yeap... hubby basically just plays with the puppy and minimal "work" with the puppy. The thing is, when we first got the puppy we agreed that he'll be MY puppy, MY responsibility. Hubby doesn't have to do anything with him. So I'm the one who gets up at 3am to let bunjee out. I'm the one that wakes up at 6am to let him out again and feed him 3 hours later. Hubby doesn't lift a finger except to play with bunjee, walked him 2x in the month we've had him, and cleaned up his pee once during that time as well. So I was fully prepared to be "a single parent" and I'm fine with that.

What annoys me is when hubby tells me, he'll watch bunjee while i take a shower or do whatever. and i'd be like... okay... and go do what need to do. and inevitiably hubby will scream out, "bunjee just took a dump!" while i'm still in the shower... and i'd be like, why didn't you stop him?... and he'd be like "i don't know." I'm just really annoyed that "watching bunjee" evidently means "watching him take a dump but do nothing to stop it per my instructions." and mind you, we're talking about watching bunjee in a 4'x10' space, not run after him in the house. if that was his definition of "keeping an eye" on bunjee, i would have rather put bunjee in the crate while i showered. at least then i know bunjee won't be doing his business in an inappropriate area of the house.

with me keeping an eye on bunjee, bunjee's had 3 accidently-free days at the in-laws. i let my husband keep an eye on bunjee for 10 minutes, and he craps and pees on the laminate floor with no one to stop him.

sorry for the ranting... i've just been working so hard to reinforce good habits, deter bad habits and instill good training in bunjee. i just feel like if hubby can't handle the responsibility, then he shouldn't even TRY to offer me an empty promise.
