Her whole large intestine was filled with fecies. The doc said it wasn;t good at all to see that for her age. He said it is a good thing that there wasn't any in her small intestine. The surgery will have to do with cutting out the pocket, or pouch and reconnecting it to her anus. It was explained in short detail to me. We will be doing another Xray to see the progress. The vet did say he is going to recommend me to a specialist before we jump to the surgery. We have had her on a high fiber diet since our last vet visit. It helped alot, but the part that helps the most is the enemas. She is getting very frustrated with her enemas the last couple of days, and the release hasn't been as good as before, so I am hoping her colon is empty enough! I don't know what more to say at this time, but she is due for her spaying when she gets 4 pounds. I am going to see if they can do the surgery at the same time, depending on if I can get the spaying vet and colon vet to meet in the operating room. The less surgery the better... I am up and down in my emotions with this. I got my puppy as a long time companion. Me an my fiance do not have kids and Basil was my smile when I came home from work. I never knew that these kinds of problems existed in dogs. I want to get a copy of the Xray so I can post it on here. and for possible court... | Quote:
