Lori-M, the way I trained my dog to the bag/carrier is put it in the floor, if he can crawl directly into it, let him see you put a little treat in there and crawl in and get it. Do that a few times a day for a few days. After that close the door for just a second, give him a treat. Repeat that a few days. When he acts comfortable, pick it up and carrier him around the room, again give him the treat. Just build it up little by little, before you know it he'll be loving it. Just do it slowly so he'll think that's a great place to be, not somewhere he is trapped in.
