Don't give up. I too have a rescue and dogs don't like to be "wet" so he will/should only pee in it if he really has to go. I've had Toby for a little over a year and we are just now at the point where if we are only going to be gone for an hour or so, no more belly band! I make sure he goes potty outside before we leave and treat him. Praise, praise, praise every time he goes potty outside and eventually you can only praise now and then. Toby has no idea if or when he will get a treat for going potty outside but don't give up. There are many others on here that know better than I but I think the advice I'm giving is pretty much on the mark. |
