Livershunt is a problem many breeders have (fortunately for me not yet) if she did have liver shunt and admits it and stopped breeding the sire and dam then she has done what she is supposed to do! Talk to her about it... She should understand I would!
In my opinion, since liver shunt is hereditary, both sires involved should have been neutered and both dams should have been spayed. Any good breeder would have done that. Or any good breeder would do that. Any sires, dams, brothers, sisters, etc...of a liver shunt dog should be spayed and/or neutered. That is necessary to stop this disease. Also, any good breeder will produce a rock solid blood bile acid test with any puppy sold.
