 Stomach upset
My 6 yr old silky yorkie is having issues with vomiting. Not all the time but now and the but usually follows the same pattern. I feed her Natures Balance Sweet potato and fish ¼ cup 6:30am and ¼ cup 7:30pm. She will start pacing around 1-2am (uncomfortable) then vomit, usually whole, undigested food. If we’re lucky, she will vomit once and that’s it, otherwise it goes on and on. There is no prior behavior to signal what day/when she will vomit – but it is usually once a week. If she vomit’s once, then she is ready to eat within minutes. The vet turned us on to the dogfood and we keep her out of people food with the exception of cooked white rice when she is having vomiting episodes. My thought is maybe she is eating to fast but would that explain the undigested food several hours later? Is there anyone who is having this same problem? I wonder if a little (teaspoon) of yogurt with it's natural cultures would help. Any suggestions would be greatfully accepted. |
