She was starting to slide back down and just could not keep her back up to a comfortable level. Vet put her IV back on and she received lactated ringers. She perked up and even would eat some food. Wanted all of my kisses and me to hold her. Vet sent me home with all the stuff to hook her up to the IV so I can continue to give her fluids/glucose when she needs the boost. Now on the other note. We are NOT going to attempt to put babies up to her at this point. With her fighting for her life, she needs NO additional stress of having to care for pups or produce milk. Let alone the energy used when the pups are trying to nurse. Some may not agree with the choice I made but I feel it is in the best interest of mom. While I know that mom's milk is better for the puppies I think mom's life is just as important too. My only goal at this point is to keep Mom and 4 puppies alive and as healthy as I possibly can without sacrificing one for the other. So the plan for mom and puppies will be to feed ALL every 2 hours weather they like it or not. Mom will be offered any food that I can put in front of her that she will eat. Per the vet any food we can get into her at this point is better than none at all. She did eat some cheese for me so that is a start.

If anyone has any suggestions on what I can try, do, or give I would be more than happy to receive it. So much has happened over the last 48 hours that my mind is drawing blanks and has entered survival mode. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Each hour that we make it is one hour closer to possible recovery.

Thank you again, there will never be enough words to explain my feelings for all the support I have gotten from YT.
You are absolute doing the right thing by taking the pups from her. It is essential that she eats but I don't believe in changing up their diet to much or you could create more problems. All my dogs love a little Pedigree Healthy Digestion with their kibble. You can hand feed her little chunks of it as a treat. Scrambled eggs are also a good option. All mine also love egg noodles as a treat. You will certainly have your work cut out. I pray everything goes well.
