I think the necessary items that a puppy should come home with are:
a small bag of the current food so that the new owners keep the puppies on a consistent food schedule.
a tube of nutrical
a small stuffed toy or blanket that the puppies and mom have been using so that the smell will relax the puppy in their new home.
A "manual" of sorts with the puppies records (dates of vaccines, any notable vet visits) eating schedule, photos of the puppy, etc.c
"fun" things are:
new blankets
new toys
a harness & leash
toothbrush/ toothpaste kit to get the new puppies dental health started right
jammies or a hoodie to keep the new puppy warm
