I would not reverse clip with any blade shorter than a 5 blade because you can clipper burn the skin. You should have the F series of blades such as 5F 4F these are full tooth blades and gives a smoother finish without having to reverse clip. Some coats that are very flat and straight you have to use a blade that leaves a short clip such as a 7F
The regular 4, 5 and 7 blade is a skip tooth blade and can be used for rougher finishes and blending with a blade.
