I use a little Wahl trimmer in the pads of Tatum's feet. We have wood floors so when the hair in her pads gets long she slides a lot more on the floors. She just lays on her back and I buzz between all the pads on each foot. And then looking from the bottom of the foot, I trim (with the Wahl - but you could use little scissors) any hair that extends past her nails. Don't know what I would do though if she didn't want to lay like that for me.
