I free-feed as well...they nit pick their food, never eat at the dish, always grab a mouthful, come to mommies feet, eat, swallow, & return to dish. When I am not home, so I am told....grab a mouthful, run to mom's bed, swallow & return to dish lol. I have three dogs, and have no food-fights, since it is always available. It keeps the peace in the house, & no one is over-weight.
