I agree Karen, the hawks and other birds of prey are already here.

I agree with you both. I live next to a reservoir which holds deer, fox, opossum, red-tailed hawks, eagles, peregrine falcons....you get the idea.
I have always fed the birds and other animals in the back portion of my yard. Here in the NE, the put up billboards asking people to remember to do this. In the US, we have many birds that are in crisis due to loss of habitat.

Yes, there is a possibility of having these birds of prey in your backyard. However, when my pups are outside...so am I. It might be 20* with a foot of snow..but I am "booted" and "coated" and outside.

I have often posted that our country is in the middle of a crisis. Species are being placed on the Governments "endangered and threatened" List at an astronomical rate. The Cahow, the Caracar, Condors , Cranes, Eastern BLuebirds...and on and on! Currently, just today, there are 1241 records of animals on this list. When will we as a species realize that our right to life does not extend into wiping all other species out in the process.

Thanks for posting, a great reminder to us all....
