Unlove

I have to say that I am typing with tears in my eyes. I am so saddened about London and for her owner. I would like everyone to think about the first time they ever owned a Yorkie and how inexperienced you were and how much you have learned since. Brandy is my first. I have always had shelter dogs who were outside pets. Due to my kids being grown, living in a condo and wanting an inside dog, and having allergies, I decided on a Yorkie. I consider myself to be extremely fortunate. I knew nothing about the breed and I got her from an ad in my local newspaper. She came, not from a breeder, but just a family that wanted to experience puppies. How lucky I am to have since found this website. I have learned so much and next time would do things so differently. I am just asking everyone to have a little understanding and compassion. Just because someone didn't know, doesn't make them irresponsibe. This poor baby would have gone to someone else and I imagine the outcome would not have been any different. If London's owner now were to do things the same, I would call her irresponsible. I had no idea the love I could have for an animal until I got Brandy. I can't even begin to imagine how I will feel when the time comes that she passes away.
