Rio got her name from the Duran Duran song "Rio." I'm a huge Duran Duran fan, and it always makes my day when someone asks what her name is and they start singing the song!! Other people look confused and ask , "is it a boy?" and I have to explain the lyrics "Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand...". Hence my screen name too!
We named our furboy Bullet because he's just a feisty, explosive ball of fun! That and my DH wouldn't let me name him Taylor (my favorite member of Duran Duran - John Taylor) because he was afraid people would think I named him after the Twilight actor Taylor Lautner (although he's quite the eye candy too!)
