On the phone you can get an idea of what type of breeding they are doing and get
a ballpark figure of what they charge and maybe by the time they have pups you will
have saved enough. Hope this helps. After my yorkie died it took me a year and 5 mos to find what I wanted. Did you ever look at the National Rescue Site??
None of those area codes even look familiar at all. They don't even look like Louisiana area codes. I live 60 miles southwest of New Orleans. (Houma-Thibodaux area.) Yes, we looked at rescue site, no yorkies in our area. While we do feel sorry for yorkies from rescues and would love to give him or her a home, we don't want one with health problems. And we would really like a puppy. And again, I was NOT searching for a yorkie mom that was 3.5 pounds. I saw her ad, called her up, and met her. She only lives 5 miles away. I am not looking for a super tiny yorkie, but we are still willing to see what happens with her yorkie and the puppies.
