I'm a horse person by trade originally, and well any of you that know horse show goers know that we like crazy names.... Fro a good laugh here are a few of my horse names and where those came from (I'll get to Harley in a second):
Texas Dream (or Nightmare) - his real name was Tex, we actually brought two signs to shows and joked about flipping to the nightmare side when he was bad
Russel's Surprise - Missy, ex race horse, we never named her
Smooth Movin' Alley Cat - Alley
Demeter - De, she's named after the Greek goddess of fertility (shame if I ever bred her I was going to name the baby Persephone
OK so when I told the breeder I was a horse person and that I wanted to show Harley in Agility, she (also being a past horse person) agreed that I could pick his registration name too. So Matt and I started brainstorming... He was either going to be Harley or Chloe (as a girl name). Matt whinned and complained and well we got a boy!
So I was/am going to do agility with him, so I decided I needed a great name, plus he's hyper as hell. So we got Kelland's Rev'd Up Harley out of that. All that work and I come to find out that at Agility shows you don't actually use the registered name,

I would feel like a dummy having them say that on the speaker when all the other names are normal.
