it's so contagious that even just a little virus in the air from a cough or sneeze can make another dog sick with it. boarding kennels and vets are a prime example of a place to pick it up, groomers are also dangerous grounds for the virus and dog parks. most places do their best to keep coughing dogs out and sanitize areas where dogs have been placed, but we're human and get lazy in our jobs and some of us (NOT ME I'M A GERMAPHOB) do not clean well. prob. just caught it off another dog or in the air at the vets.
