I had the EXACT same thing happen when Sugar went in for her dental/non spay
She is ONLY now (almost 2 months later) not coughing and sneezing as much. My AAHA vet says it is VERY common and will take a LONG time to go away with the little tracheas
She gave me something for her cough. She is 90% better now.....still 10% honkey
