Babbsiam : I thank you for all the questions being new at this I didn't think of any of that and he was given to me so quickly it was a shock. I offered to let her come meet me before I got him but the neighbor was like oh thats ok. He went out of town and before I knew he was back he was handing the new guy over to me. When she wants to stud I think I will insist I take him to her so I can see whats going on there and make sure he is treated well after that i'll insist it be at my house so he doesn't have to be reminded of that place. As far as his medical care I have planned from the start for that to be my responsability he's my baby now I have no problem making sure he's cared for. I was offered his papers for a fee I will be sure to get his shot reocrds from her as well. I wasn't planning on breeding him with my Lulu I wanted her to have a companion and our family to be extended. I don't know anything about showing a dog nor could I afford to so I don't plan to breed them. She is not registered but I am considering doing so although I'm not sure if that is neccessary if I don't plan to show her or breed her. As far as I'm concerned I am his only owner and she is just having studding privlages with him but I am concerned now after reading posts and learning more as to what will happen if any of his puppies ever have problems.

Laci ~ If I take you right, you mean that I should not show him too much affection and praise when he is showing signs of fear as he will take that as being rewarded for that behavior. I have never had to help a dog socialize though and don't know what I should do to help him. I've been crating when I'm not home to keep him safe from fighting with my bigger dog (only 35lbs but big compared to 5lbs). Should I just take him and let him sit outside with me while I'm playing with the other dogs? When I do go to praise him he curls up and flips on his back and I don't want to scare him more. Same reaction when I try to play head goes down curls into ball. I notice he gets a little more outgoing everyday though so I have a lot of hope he will be better. I'm just wondering how I can help him socialize are there things I shouldn't do or definite pointers I should do?

Thanks so much for all your help in thing I would have never thought to look into!!
