I'm so sorry for little Nikki and will pray that it isn't serious. As for a power outage, well I've went through plenty of those in my life and know how draining it can be unless you have plenty of candles, board games and a gas stove where you can at least burn to stay warm and to cook.
Sure makes you appreciate the little things we take for granted in our daily lives.
