Best to drink soda through a straw, as it will eat the enamel off your teeth. It causes major behavioral problems in children, malabsorbtion of calcium, and a ton of other maladys. Google it and become aware....

My stepson drank soda constantly growing up. I never gave it to the kids in my home, he was getting it from a neighbor, and I never knew about it. At 21, he needs major dental work, as there is hardly any enamel left on his teeth (eating is painful), and he has been diagnosed with osteosporosis. He had problems in school, and was put on Ritalin, which helped some, but he had bad concentration problems. About a year ago, on the news, I heard they are taking the soda machines out of the schools around here. I never knew kids were allowed to drink sodas in school. This is a freaking nightmare.

Sorry, didn't intend to be such a downer....
My children have only had a few sips of soda their whole lives (from my can or hubby's), but they are not normally allowed to have it. They drink a ton of milk...wish that I liked milk. My kids are old enough now that when they ask to have a drink of my soda and I say no because it's not good for you, they will look at me so confused and say, "But Mommy, you and Daddy always drink it so it can't be bad."

Time for this momma to change her habits!!
