Should I just ignore him? Also I let him sleep in my bed at night (well last night, I put his crate on my bed next to me and he slept in there) and normally he gets up and potty's on the bed somewhere at the bottom. I know that's not good and he is establishing very awful habits. How long should I keep him in the crate at night? Or should I just place him back in the bathroom at night?
If he can't wake you up to tell you he needs to go potty he is too young to sleep with you. I know it's hard, but it also establishes your role. (Loki now sleeps with us most nights, but he does get an overnight time out when he acts like a monster. He usually comes out sweet the next day ready to please!) Also, I have read that it's not really safe to leave your dog in a bathroom all day, because of all the chemicals on the floor. Unless you never use hairspray or anything then I guess it's OK but there can still be other dangers. (Loki is not allowed in the bathrooms here because he likes to get in the trash can. He actually knows the word "out" and will get out of there if I tell him to!)

A crate is truly the safest place for them to be. At 9 weeks you will be getting up 2-3 times a night to let him out of his crate. Don't let him out while he's crying/banging on the cage, wait til he quiets down for a minute and then let him out. It's just like having a baby. There are a lot of sleepless nights!
