Okay first off...
How old is he?
How many vaccinations has he had?
And how long before you took him outside did he have the vaccination?
The vet is right you really should wait a couple of weeks after their last vaccination before taking them outside. The reason being is that they can catch parvo which can be fatal and other nasties from grass and lamposts ect.
It is good that you have taken him to the vet and had him checked out. Did he give a reason as to why he thought his stomach was bloated? and is this the same vet which gave him his vaccinations?
