Not a painting. It is a real picture/photo of her.
I am so sorry - In oil here, means that I have oiled her coat. I just like to tell people that if the picture was taken after the bath so they know why the coat looks so oily.
After I bath my dogs I add a teaspoon of mineral oil to their bath water and rinse it over their coats. I then do a final rinse with regular water and then blow dry them. This helps their coats to avoid any breakage. I do this since I show my dogs and need their coats to be long. When they get older around 1 year - their coats may be ready for wraps. This depends on the type of coat they have. As you can see KeeKee coats is really nice and long. She is a great grower with her coat, but I think the oil helps a lot too.
I was told many years ago that carpet, fabric furniture, and especially the grass can cut their coats. Have you ever seen a grass blade up close? It looks like a knife. So I do not let my dogs in the grass much. We have a very large wooden porch for them to enjoy the outdoors and they have the inside of the house to play in too.
Sorry I did not explain this earlier - I forgot that not everyone knows about this.
