I am sorry that you are dealing with this. I have ruptured discs, Spondylolisthesis, and a L5 fracture. Back problems SUCK! I did the E-injections and they helped somewhat. They wanted to also do a fusion, but I said no. I live with pain everyday as well. I was a runner now I am a walker. The one thing that I have found to really help with discs is ice. I usually ice everyday at some point. It is one of the non-drug therapies that actually helps. I am allergic to many of the pain relievers and cannot take them , which also sucks.
Your Discs are not ruptured so that is a good thing. However, I would definitely try the ice packs. I have the ones that are 12" by 12", the really big packs. They seem to help the most. Hang in there, I know it is not easy. I am sure that the EI will work and relieve some of the pain. My big problem with them, was that I found out that I am allergic to the steroids used, so the capillaries in my checks ruptured. LOL...now I have permanent blush! So I guess it wasn't all bad...
