Dinky had an undescended testicle also. I'm happy to say that it came down in time for the neutering. He was about 7 and a half months old when he had it done.
Prior to the neutering, he was humping his toys pretty frequently, and it turns out that this is supposed to help the testicle descend. (I found this info somewhere on a Yorkie Forum thread.)
