I am in Keys now until April. We have been coming here since 98. It is a very dog friendly place. You could take your fur baby anywhere here and not have to worry. I remember when we were first here in 98 we went to a local tiki bar and sat down to order a drink and I was told to move over one stool as gigi was coming and that was her stool. Gigi was a jack russel and she and her owner came every day for happy hour. Sure enough they arrived, Gigi sat on the stool at the bar and the bartender then sat a bowl of water on the bar for her. It is a little different here now. A woman tripped over a dog at Turtle Crawls and sued, she won. Now you have to have your dog leashed. There are some establishments that don't allow dogs if they serve food. It is up to the establishment. We went into Key West last week for the night at a BB. Bella went to a wine bar on Duval and was such a good girl. We also went this week to Geiger Key and Hurricane Hole. They loved her. Treats behind the bar and water bowls are offered when you order a drink. We love it here because we can bring her almost everywhere. We grocery shop with her and shop at all the stores. Nobody says anything. If you want a place to vacation and bring your furbaby the Keys is the place to go.
