Oh I know aout that waiting thing. I myself just went threw it, My Girl BellaDonna gave birth to 3 little girls Sat the 29th on her 61st day, I took her temp starting on the 55th day it usally ran 99.6-99.9 it did go down around the 58th day to 98.7 but back up, but on the 60th day it went to 98.4 and then on 61 day 97.9 and stayed. She did not pant, dig, she eat, drank water, everything was norm,She had no milk come out,no discharge nothing, except that I had made her a whelping area in my walkin closet but she would not go to it during the preg, That morning she was found in the closet and I could just tell by the look in her eye it was time, She started labor at 12:30 pm by 1pm, 30 mins the 1st came out breech. She was crying the hole time. We could not get the fetus out, With the fetus being stuck for more then 6 mins and we could not help it out we rushed her in to the vet, It took the vet another 30 mins to remove the fetus, It was a girl but was still born, do to the time of being in the b/c. Bella then delivered by her self without help two more little girls and came home that night, Shes doing well, Iam not trying to scare you but things do go wrong and fast, Make sure you have a vet close by and a 24 hr vet close by in case its night time, and money!!! althou Bella did not need a c-section or help it was still verey expensive to take her in for them to remove the stuck fetus and watch her whelp the other two, They did do xrays and blood work. If she gos to birth and you see danger signs dont wait to get help even 10mins can sometimes be to long. Watch and learn as much as you can about whelping pups, Youll need to know how to help her birth the 1st pup as in yorkies the 1st one always needs a little help. I hope all gos well. Please get xrays if you havent already it will not just tell you how many but it will help the vet know if she can deliver them on her own at home by the size and potions of the pups, If the pups are big she may be introuble. And sometimes the vet will go ahead and just do a c-section or have her deliver in the office.
