I have never watched the MTV program Jersey Shore but I have heard of it. Do you watch it and what is it about? Is it based in New Jersey? if so what do the people of New Jersey think of it?
The reason I am asking is that MTV are now talking about doing a british version called Geordie Shore which will be based in Newcastle upon Tyne in England, where I live and where I was born. It is called Geordie Shore because people who are from Newcastle are called Geordies.
Newcastle is very much a party city with lots of bars and night clubs, people come from all over England for a night out in Newcastle and I believe this is what MTV are going to focus on.
But many people I know are worried about how the program will make geordies look, if they only focus on the night life then its going to make us all look like alcoholics! LOL.
Like I said I have never watched Jersey Shore, so how do you think it made the people of New Jersey look? or do you think the community were unaffected by it?
