My cat did the same thing, started with peeing outside the puppy crate (though I thought it was Rizzo the whole time) it wasn't until he peed on my bed that I realized it was the cat. The problem got crazy bad when I fostered a kitten for a few weeks, and even after she found a new home my cat Fatso still continued to pee everywhere. I took him in to the vet and they ruled out any medical issues, I tried twice with the vet sure that there was something wrong with him. She told me to try the Feliway plug in diffusers in the areas where he most commonly had pee "accidents". Since the day I plugged those in there have been no more potty issues keeping my fingers crossed that it continues. You may want to give them a try, they're not the cheapest but they seem to be effective. Plus, it seems to have a calming effect on Rizzo, helps both of us sleep through the night
