In every case since I have started doing this the temperature will fall back to normal. The amoxicillin will also help if the momma starts getting a little mastitis.
One thing that concerns me is the vet put the momma on Clavamox and Rimadyl. What I have read is that they should not be given to nursing mommas. Hopefully the pups are being bottle fed since the mom is on medication. My vet always recommends amoxicillin since it does not effect nursing pups.

I am sorry I did not know that this combination should not be given to nursing moms. What problems will this cause the pups? She has been nursing them and all seems fine. Should I call the emergency vet and ask them to change her med?
