I would be very careful with this procedure? Besides coughing has there been any other problems with your puppies behavior? Our little guy ended up not making it and we are 99% sure that it was due to this procedure. Since then we have been in a long expensive battle with the vet but as of yet nothing has happened. All vets I have talked to have said that the procedure is more or less 100% safe. However, my puppy went into the vet completely normal (minus small cough) and came out on his death bed. Many vets I have talked to said that there are simple antibiotics you should try first before you do such an aggressive procedure. Have you gotten a second opinion? Do you trust your vet?
