Other meds that can be tried: Atopica, Temaril-P. Keep in mind that if you do want allergy testing, then the best thing to put him on is Atopica....bc prior to allergy testing, steroids must be out of the system (but Atopica is fine). The Zyrtec has to be given every single day.
What are you feeding? When did this start? Did it coincide w/ any changes?
Btw, allergy shots are usually only given once a week, or every two weeks...and then less than that after they start responding.

We changed food from purina to blue (no difference in symptoms)
Yes after the steriod shot he is fine for about six weeks.
