Thank you so much for your replies. Yes, I know that 12 weeks is still very young! I guess I just freaked out because I keep reading and hearing horror stories about how Yorkies are impossible to train and that I should expect a lifetime of cleaning up poop and pee in my house.

It's pretty obvious when he needs to poop (he starts running from one end of the room to the other like he's possessed) but with the peeing he doesn't really give us any signs. Sometimes we'll have just taken him out half an hour ago and he'll casually squat and make a little puddle. He knows we like it when he pees outside (he's come to expect his little treat when he does it) but maybe that part will just take time. I believe in my little dude, and my husband and I are both persistent and dedicated, so if it takes a while that's ok.

I feel better now. 95% .... I can live with that!
