Default Zoe has hip dysplasia

We took Zoe our little Shorkie to the vet a couple of weeks ago because she was kind of lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink. The vet took a blood test and an xray and said that things looked okay but she has a slight hip dysplasia. She showed us the xrays. She told us not to worry but to keep her weight down to avoid problems in the future. She's about 12 lbs and the vet says she's just the right weight. The vet said that she had some kind of a stomach upset and gave her a pepcid and sub fluids because she was kind of dehydrated. The day after she was fine and she's been fine ever since. New week she is going for her rabies vaccination. The vet says she wants to do a follow up blood test to make sure that everything is okay. I'm a little upset about the hip dysplasia though. I think the stomach problem was because she had gotten into the cat food. Anybody know anything about hip dyspasia?
