In my personal experience with our yorkie, he has loved having company. We had our yorkie Ivan for 7 years and due to unrelenting pressure from the kids we finally gave in and bought a Chocolate Lab. He was a little apprehensive about having the intruder in at first, but once they warmed up to eachother, now they regularly lay down at the foot of the couch together and fall asleep
. My husband and I both work so I always felt bad about leaving our dog home alone before but at least he now had some company! Our Yorkie and Lab are now best friends and I am glad to know that one of them doesn't have to spend all day in an empty house locked up and alone!
