| Congratulations!! Congrats on your new baby!!!! Potty training for yorkies can be a long process....Since you're using the crate....the best thing to do is take him outside each time you take him out of the crate...and wait for him to go...if he doesn't go potty....i'd put him back in the crate....I would let my girls play for a little while outside of the crate after they pottied outside...it's just a trial and error thing...
Puppies generally have to potty...
As soon as they wake up
After they eat
After they play
After they chew on toys, etc.
And lots and lots of times in between!!!! 
I'd make sure to have a potty pad down outside of the crate...so at least he can use that if he needs to go and you're not aware....
