hello folks,

We currently have a little girl who is 2yrs 2months and we are possibly going to acquire a little 5month old boy from a college student who can keep him due to problems with her other dog not getting along. We want to adopt him, but I am a little nervous about it.

Our little girl is spiled rotten and is the center of every spare moment we have. I know she won't realize it, but outside of giving this dog a great home, i am doing it for her to have a playmate. In my mind I have this awesome piture of them running around and playing so happily.

Am i dreaming here? i don't want this to go bad so I am asking for some guidance on whether it is a terrible idea or how to make it work. i know there will be an adjustment period, but any help/pointers you all can give me would be so helpful.
