Another thought is to donate to rescue, as they're at the front line of helping dogs who are very much in trouble and at risk of euthanasia. For rescue, I support Best Friends Animal Society (animal sanctuary in Utah) and Yorkie Haven Rescue. Supporting your local humane association is always good too! |
Thanks for your opinion on these organizations, Ann. As I am sure you know, January is a time for receiving requests for money. I have all the request letters stacked up and have been thinking about which places I want to donate. This really helps me personally in the decision making process.
