Onesies work great for stopping the licking for most pups too! If your little one is more persistent though, they may need an e-collar.

Also, you may want to leave a blanket and a fav cuddley toy with your baby when you drop off. It will help calm the poor dear and be cozy afterward! A reminder of mommy/home is always good!!!
