My Bella, can be quite a maniac at times too, but for the most part she is pretty laid back and quiet. Hardly ever barks and really doesn't ever get into trouble at all. She has been a dream puppy. Although she does love to attack my slippers and socks, while I am wearing them. I wouldn't have thought it so tough to walk around with 4 pounds attached to your foot, but it really is quite challenging.
