I am not sure why they crop the ears of many breeds? I can not think of anyreason except cosmetic..but perhaps larege breed owners know. I am happy they do not do it to Yorkies..I think I would learn to love a flop in in that case..
As to tails and declaws...that is done so young and only causes momentary discomfort. I am just not fond of a tail on a Yorkie and that is purely cosmetic..although they are cleaner and easier to keep clean with a tail covering the back end.JMO..and as to declaws, they can and do get caught in stuff...can be ripped out...but that is no reason to remove them on an adult... don't forget to clip the nail...as a former groomer I have seen them grow into the skin because the owner did not realize they even had them... |
