I prefer the custom made ones- they do not have elastic because they are made to fit your baby and not a whole range of doggies. Also they are made of more comfortable/ better quality products.

Another thing to consider is how long you are leaving the belly bands on- you should try to never leave them on too long- also make sure you are checking it very frequently and changing it if it is wet- you never want the urine sitting against the dog. If I ever take a belly band off and it is wet I also make sure to clean my baby off. Also make sure the dog has plenty of time without the belly band on.
