If this pup were mine, I would email then send blood off to Dr Dodds (Hemopet) in California. She's very reasonable and is one of the best Immunologists in the world... |
Thanks and yes I do believe they are covering one of their doctor's butts. I have been so upset over this and today I called the office and asked for the manufacturer of both vaccines and then was able to call one Dodge, and they said what everyone else has said and what I already knew, that they do not reccomend the vaccine on a sick dog. When I pressed them about whether it would make the dog sicker they kind of backed off and just said that if anything the vaccine would be ineffective and would have to be readministered when the pup was better. Can you send me info on Dr. Hobbs? I would really appreciate it. I'm so upset over this baby. I will do whatever I have to do get her through this. I am so afraid I'm going to lose her. I've taken her to three different vets, plus the idiot that gave her the shots, making it four vets in total that have seen her. I have yet another appointment on Monday with another hospital that is very highly reccomended. I've also contacted Redbank Emergency/Specialty hospital but they do not have a pulmonologist. They would have her seen by their internest. On an up note, two vets have now stated that they do not feel the hernias so I guess here are two possibliities to that. Either the vet that originally checked the litter wrote down the wrong dog, possibly the male dog in the litter was the one with the hernias or they by the good grace of God has healed. I am going to have them checked again to be sure, but I not see or feel it. One vet I took her two said bilateral and gave me an estimate of $1100 to repair them, but I don't know maybe and I hate to think this but maybe they looked at as one vet saw them and they can confirm it and possibly invent an operation for the $$. I hate to think that but I just don't know since two others since have not seen or felt them. If you could please give me info on the doctor you mentioned I would appreciate it. I'm at my witts end and will try anything and anyone that may be able to help her. She is eating, playing and gaining weight which is good but she still is coughing and wheezing and it happens more at night and in the early morning if that makes a difference as to what it could be. We have a vaporizor. She's once agian on Clavomox, and on Robitussin for children. Thanks for any help and info.
