No...it is specific to the Visine brand. At least from what we saw in our office. The Dr. I worked for would chew his patients out if they used Visine, well in a nice, helpful way. But yes, Visine for contacts is really bad for them and will literaly eat away at them, causing them to be uneven and to cause corneal ulcers. He never complained about the other Saline brands...he really liked Blink and Clean (B&L, I think) and TheraTears Contacts. Well, his wife dealt with contacts/glasses, he did the infections, transplant surgeries, etc.
