I found someone super and close by my home for when I travel using Craigslist. She was an older single lady and kept my Yorkie in her bathroom with a her bed, wee pad, free feed of water/food during the day while she worked. I was gone 16 days and she charged me $100.00. I, like you cannot afford hundreds of dollars a week. I just wanted to make sure she was taken care of, not locked in a tiny crate all day and always had access to her food and water. That was my main concerns. Hope this helps.
