Baby Yorkie, you may want to check out the Thundershirt. Some people have had success with them. Thundershirt | The Best Dog Anxiety Treatment
Or you could try something like Rescue Remedy. |
Cooper has always been a nervous wreck during thunder storms, any unusually loud noises and loud human conversations. He runs and cowers in the corner. What I have found that works for him is a little black shirt that he wears when he's scared. It is not the Thunder Shirt. It's just a plain tank top. I get him excited about the shirt and somehow it sways him away from his fear. We call it his big boy shirt. I also put on soft music for him which I believe calms him.
Cooper seems much better since bringing a second dog to my home. Max doesn't care about thunder and I think Cooper is playing off of that.
I never tried the Thunder Shirt but suggest you give it a try. It would have been my next attempt and after researching it I found many reviews of it working wonders.
