Do they do this to your face? Or just behind your back? Maybe you need to pop in on them whenever one of their conversations start.
My sister took over the directorship of a literacy non-profit a couple of years ago and it sounds a lot like yours. The teachers were not spending a lot of time actually teaching, and when asked said that they were too busy with all the other duties to actually teach. So one of the first things she did was hire someone to manage the office and offload all the non-teaching duties to that person. Guess what? The teachers were angry because they no longer had an excuse for not teaching. And that one person had time to do all the non-teaching duties AND take on special projects.
These people at your place don't seem to have enough work to do if they have time to sit around trashing you. |
